So we’re getting read to host our “open house” here on the blog in about 53 minutes.
And our forum software has gone down. It’s back for now. But we’re not positive that this is going to work. In any case, give it a whirl here. We’ll be there. We might be alone.
Then I’ll send John out for some Dixie cups and string to get this working.
What: Chris and John will answer all your questions about woodworking, LAP books and John’s new career as a tee shirt model.
To participate: you will need an account in the LAP store to log into the forum. If you have ordered from the store in the last two years you probably have an account. To set up an account: at the top of this page click on HOME in the black bar. On the next page look for the Log in/Create an account section and go from there.
You do not need an account if you only want to read the questions and answers on the forum.
We think we have licked most of the basic technical glitches for the Lost Art Press forum. We have high hopes that this will be a good way for us to interact with readers and help you get answers to your questions about our books and the techniques in them.
So John and I would like to invite you to stop by an “open house” on our forum from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. EST on Friday, Nov. 6. During those two hours, John and I will be online to answer any questions you have about our upcoming titles, woodworking techniques, tools, beer or cuddling (FYI, we’re not cuddlers).
To ask questions in the forum, you’ll need to have an account in our store. If you have purchased anything from us in the last two years, you probably have an account. If you don’t have an account, you can create one here.
You don’t need an account to read the forum. Some of you are already using the forum and have found it’s a good way to exchange information with other readers who are not wankers.
We’ve just added our Lost Art Press Bandito shirts to our online store. The shirts are $25 and are available in sizes M to 2XL. These are the shirts we printed for Woodworking in America. They were a big hit, but we came back with some in each size.
Once these lieutenant green shirts are sold out we will offer the Bandito shirt in a wide variety of sizes, color and even styles.
We’ll also be putting up the “By Hammer and Hand” posters in the store later this week – we just have to wait for the special mailing tubes to arrive in the warehouse.
