Learn to build a Dutch Tool Chest from an American in the beautiful city of Munich – in July.
I still have a couple spots open in my tool chest class on July 14-16 at the Dictum store in Munich, Germany. If you are looking for a quick and fun vacation, this could be it. The school is right by the train station and tons of restaurants, biergartens and museums. Bring your family (I’ve done that a couple times – they love Munich).
Details on the class are here. The class is taught in English (Southern High Redneck English). And you don’t even need to bring tools.

What wood are you going to be using in that class in Munich?
My guess is beech. Or scots pine
I am interested. But how would I get the toolbox back to the US?
In the past, U.S. students have not glued up their chests and flat-packed them home as checked luggage.
Ever since building my DTC I’ve wondered about the geographic / linguistic footprint of that form. Were Dutch Toolchests confined to the Netherlands, or were/are they also popular in, say, Flanders or nearby parts of Deutschland like Köln, Dusseldorf, Bremen?
(Apologies and best wishes to Megan, who I imagine may be all too happy to take a break from this subject!)
