I spent the afternoon with Marco Terenzi in his shop today. As I was shooting this picture, he said:

“Wait. I’m not supposed to smile, am I? Craftsmen never smile in photos. I have to look all stoic.”

    Thanks for the tip on Marco’s Instagram feed. Great for watching his progress casting the plane parts and shaping the tiny wooden totes and knobs.

    Good lord. He probably made all the threaded bits work to didn’t he? Amazing.

      Everything works on these planes. He even spent the time to use extremely fine grained box wood for the handles so they look right at this size. Have a look at his Instagram if you want to see the process he used to make it.
