Day 9: Infinity Stamps
If you want a fantastic logo stamp, contact Infinity Stamps. The company’s designers will create a stamp for you based on a sketch or whatever else you have, or you can send a vector file. Infinity is fast and great to deal with. Chris has three (or it is four?) stamps from them, and I have two. They are excellent.

Based on LAP blogs about Infinity Stamps in the past, I’ve had them make two stamps for me. They do good fast work and the prices were reasonable.
Do you happen to know what sizes the ones shown are? Roughly?
The two large ones are 1″; the small ones are 1/2″
How hard do you have to hammer the 1” punches to get them to mark a wood like Cherry? Asking because I’d like that size or larger, but don’t want it so big that I can’t hit it hard enough to make a mark.
It takes a decent whack to leave a deep imprint – but I use it on cherry often, no trouble. (I hit it with my lump hammer.)
I’ve got a shop stamp for the bottom of stick chairs that’s 2-1/8″ x 2-1/8 in the shape of a snail. I work in ash, cherry, hard maple maple, poplar, etc. I have no problem leaving a mark but early on I struggled to leave a symmetric mark since the tendency was to tip towards the open space. In short after about 5 whacks, I had it down and I’ve never thought about it since. If you want a bigger one, go for it. I actually have two- one for marking tools and small pieces and the above. I waited for a while before getting the bigger one and am so glad I finally did. It looks correct to my eye for the size of a stick chair or larger case work. Enjoy!
I can attest to these stamps being top quality. I have several for logos (both wood and metal) and a custom number set (typewriter font) for stamping planes.
