Is the photo some kind of subtle troll? There is no way all those shavings came from that tiny piece of wood under that plane…
I’m afraid you’d have to ask Joshua – it’s his picture. But maybe it was a much larger piece of wood when he started planing 🙂
Or perhaps it was preceded by any number of other pieces of wood, and their shavings not swept up?!
