2 Two Tool Bags
I love our Thread-Line tool bag. It has been an almost daily companion in working on the Anthe building. But they are hard to come by (at least for me). If you can get one, I recommend it. It is tough and lightweight and has lots of pockets.
A second excellent choice is the Steele Canvas utility tote. We got ours in waxed canvas. It has the same number of pockets as the Thread-Line and has the added bonus of a shoulder strap. These are made in the USA and made to order. But they are fast.
Both are fairly expensive compared to the crap at the home center. These will last you. The stitching and materials are excellent.
The Thread Line is an excellent bag. I had to order mine from England. At that 5ime, at least, I couldn’t find a US distributor.
I like the Steele better. I’ve only had mine for a couple of weeks. It’s just as well made as the Thread Line, but it’s a little roomier, and it’s not only US made, it’s manufactured about 30 miles up the road from me. They have some other products as well, and I’ll be ordering more from them in the future.
Went to the Steele canvas website and already received an email from them touting their wares. How did that happen -I never gave them my email or any information.
They are using the Shopify e-commerce platform, which you might have used to buy things on other sites. Shopify has a creepy feature – if you add a product to the cart but don’t buy it, the merchant has the option to send you an email later, because Shopify already knows your email and is tracking you when you visit their different sites. Fun fact – LAP is also using Shopify but seems to have turned off the creepy cross-site tracking.
We do not use creepy tracking like that. Or popups. Or upsells. Or music. Or snow on the screen during the holidays.
The WoodenBoat Store also sells decent tool totes – https://www.woodenboatstore.com/collections/apron-bags-and-tool-rolls
