I have been negligent in posting updates to the “Sharpen This (the Video)” series. Apologies. I am back on the wagon. (Or is it “off the wagon?” Anyway, more videos to come.)
The new Chapter 14 shows how I sharpen the wacky cutters for the Lie-Nielsen Nos. 48 and 49 tongue-and-groove planes. And how to set up the Stanley versions of this plane for best results. I also show the plane in use and give some tips for how to make better joints with it.
And, because I have been so remiss, I also do a short video on how I sharpen pocket knives and bench knives. (Knife-makers, please look away.)
Plus, Bean comes for a visit!
If you bought the video series, you should have received an email that gives you links to the new content. If you buy the video now, you will have immediate access to all the videos in the series.

So, with the purchase of the video now, each of the upcoming videos will be linked for free or will there be additional charges?
Thx
No additional charges
No additional charges. The cost of the video includes all existing and future chapters.
I’m looking forward to the knife sharpening. I stink at that.
Uhhhh. You won’t like it.
I just picked up an old Stanley 48 for free that a neighbor was tossing because she thought it was junk. I will check this out as I assume the skills are similar.
During the years I’ve followed LAP my mind has continually been blown by how much work you manage to get done.
New video is very much appreciated. But we’re not in a rush, so no shame needed.
I’m sure you get this question 153 times a day so I’ll apologize in advance. What brand/model of pocket knife are you showing here?

GREAT knife.
Easier to find through dealers than direct for some reason
Hi Chris. Ive totally been abusing thw opened wire an comment sections latel (really appreciate it by the way). The one tool i have that i have never been able to set up properly is the Veritas skew rabbet plane. Is there any chance you can add that to the list of tools tou demonstrate in the Sharpen This videos?
