After a long day of outages, our store is back up.

Apologies to every frustrated customer. We have never had a failure like this, and it was no fun for anyone.

Because of the long outage, we are extending the sale by one day.

  4. i tried to order an item but was only given the opportunity to be notified… does that mean it is out of stock? will sale price be honored when restocked?

  5. I ordered 2 hats. The message says I will be notified. Will the order be filled when the hats are available?

  6. Bah! I waited too long and now the art of joinery is sold out! Drats! Are you going to be restocking this one? I’m assuming at the original price, but still, now I must have it!

    1. As reported earlier, the print edition is going away and the pdf is now free for everyone. We have a few copies of the book left that we will list when they arrive in the warehouse in the coming week or two.

      1. Hard copies of The Art of Joinery also seem to still be available from Lee Valley in Canada, Classic Hand Tools in the UK and [Rubank Verktygs AB in Sweden]https://www.hyvlar.se/en/art-of-joinery,-revised-edition. Not at sale prices, of course, and postage to the U.S. (not to mention customs fees and dues) will be rather more than if buying directly from LAP, but they’re there.

        So if you’re in the States, ’twill be worth keeping a beady eye out for those last few copies to come, but at least getting one from abroad would be a back-up plan if a hard copy rather than the free .pdf is what it’ll take to scratch the itch.

    1. Well, too quick… Anyway, quick question: the PDF of ‘Sharpen This’ seems to only “ship” to the US or Canada — is that by design? I have never seen this before.

  8. Sorry to hear about your IT issues; and glad you were able to get them sorted. It worked out for me because I forgot about the sale and now my last day order is in. Woohoo!
    The other day when I first started the cart I dropped in the French Curves; but when I placed the order a few minutes ago the cart was updated without them. The tool site no longer has them listed; are they gone for good now?
