We’ve selected (by choosing random numbers and matching them up to the entrants in the order the emails came in) the winners of the Crucible Tool 5-year anniversary lump hammers engraved by Jen Bower, and the lucky 10 have been notified. Next week, these tools will be on the way to their new homes. (I’m awaiting shipping boxes and a plowed road to the post office.)
We’re also working on a new anniversary tool – one that is very dear to me – and hope to be able to say more about it shortly. Stay tuned!

wow
Those are awesome, reminds me of something Uri Tuchman would make. Although no one can sing a song about hammers quite like Uri.
One day I’m going to send Jenny a plane to engrave. Beautiful work. (Maybe for the upcoming commemoration of my 60th complete trip around the sun.)
As to the anniversary tool, I’m going to go out on a limb and say the dovetail marking gauge you love but isn’t made anymore. And if I’m wrong, leave subliminal suggestions for Chris to add it to the tool idea queue.

I should have known. Good to see Crucible branching out.

Please, please, don’t let that new editor talk y’all into selling anniversary-branded cat treats.
The new tool is a box of LAP bandaids, right? Very important!
Give us a hint. Brand new tool, or decorated existing tool? Pretty please?
New
Now you’re being a tease.
You asked.
It will be steel. We considered doing something that was hand-bedazzled (seriously) but we came to our senses.
I don’t like to tease. But we have competitive concerns with this tool.
Sadly, someone will make knockoffs anyway. I’m hoping that your customers will be less likely than average to buy a ripoff.
If the new tool is a micro-adjusted shooting board for a Lie Nielsen 102, I’ll be very excited.
I’m curious how many people threw their names in the hat. I was sadly one of the unlucky ones.
More than 80.
