I am particularly pleased to announce that Hand-Eye Supply – one of my favorite online stores – is now carrying “The Anarchist’s Design Book.”

Based in Portland, Ore., Hand-Eye Supply carries a selection of fantastic things for creative people, from drafting and designing supplies to the best selection of workwear I’ve ever found. I own many, many pieces of the stuff they sell. The Edgevale pants are simply the best lower-extremity garment I’ve put on. The Le Laboureur work jacket is on me more than off me.

I’ve not been disappointed by anything I’ve bought from Hand-Eye since discovering the company years ago.

  1. Thanks for the recommendation. Is Hand-Eye Supply related in any way to the LAP titles By Hand and Eye / By Hound and Eye? If not, was this store an influence for Walker and Tolpin’s titelage?

  2. I like the look of this place, Thanks. If only they had more adult sizes in stock.

    For anyone starting the journey to wear 1st world made clothing; I hereby submit Fox River socks and Flint and Tinder underwear for consideration to round out the wardrobe. Its not a cheap proposition to stop clothing yourself from the Dollar Store.

  4. I went to look at their site again. Loved their stuff. Sadly, A large number of items are out of stock, like no pants at all etc. Concerned they are going out of business. Such COOL stuff.

  5. These kind of clothes (with proud Union Made tags) were once commonplace until the 80s in stores like J. C. Penney’s at a fraction of the cost–even after adjusting for inflation. Remind me again of who became POTUS in 1980.
