Suzanne Ellison – artist, indexer, researcher and butt-kicker – made this for my office. It’s constructed using tools from Roubo’s “l’Art du Menuisier” plus a crow. There is no crow in Roubo to my knowledge.
Suzanne calls this crow “Cato.” Yes, after Cato Fong.

I want one. Right now.
Should I send it via Einstein Express or astral projection?
Oh now that’s just mean. raney at daedtoolworks dot com, dammit.
That’s really cool. If its offered as a poster, I’d buy one, maybe two.
love.
Is that some kind of auger in the crow’s mouth?
Yes it is. It is from Plate 22 one of the plates featuring tools for furniture makers.
Steampunk leg/tail and the eye breaking the fourth wall are nice touches.
Love the “peg” leg! If she made one with books instead of tools in about a 3X3 format I’d buy a ton as gifts for the bibliophiles in my family.
