After sending out all of the copies of “To Make as Perfectly as Possible: Roubo on Marquetry” to customers, we have 85 copies remaining to sell.
We will sell these on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at noon EST Monday, Nov. 11, 2013. For U.S. customers, we will post an item in the store allowing you to purchase the book for $400 (domestic shipping is included in the price).
For international customers, please send an e-mail to John Hoffman at john@lostartpress.com after noon EST Monday. The cost will be $400, plus actual shipping costs. Please be advised that shipping this book overseas is quite expensive when it is properly insured and accompanied by a tracking number (as much as $70). E-mails ordering the book before noon EST on Monday will not be acknowledged or fulfilled.
We do not like to brag, but this is a fine, fine book. If you would like a second opinion, please read Jameel Abraham’s blog about the book at the Benchcrafted.com blog.

As an owner of the book, I must say it’s amazing. There is something about the format of the thing that feels totally different than a “normal” size book. The information provided is the same but the experience is totally different. I believe there is value in paying for experiences. And unlike a great meal or a trip, this is an experience that you can have over and over for the rest of your life. I’m looking forward even more to the next volume.
Chris,
This post is far too cruel. I am still waiting (im)patiently for my copy of the “Deluxe Roubo” to arrive here in New Zealand, and would have been blindly ignorant of Jameel’s sensual account of his first reading of his copy had it not been for you. Reading of his “first date” with the book is almost too much for my sanity to bear. I think Jameel and his book should get a room (and yes I am just incredibly jealous).
Ps. If anyone is interested, postage to New Zealand was slightly more than Chris indicated above. It cost me $82.87 US for shipping – just a bit over the $70 upper limit Chris stated.
unemployment sucks.
Let’s prat the Lord you can solve that.
I do understand that you have to get the shipping costs covered (I have already paid the extra),
but I also remember from earlier this year (june) that the price of $400 was advertised as “shipping included”…:

Indeed you are correct. We have to raise the price for the next round because shipping costs have been higher than expected on this title. We are a very small business, so we cannot simply “absorb” the costs.
Some people could complain the unicorn farts aren’t scented pleasantly enough.
Well, the truth is that unicorn farts are the worst part of the unicorn.
What is the process th place an order at that specific time? Thanks.
It is detailed above. There will be a product in the LAP store for U.S. customers. International customers will send an e-mail.
I will post a reminder and a link to the store on Monday at noon as well.
Ok Thanks.
