To follow that on the PW bench post. This is a surely LH bench (and lefties… we are usually a bit “out there” as a group) Note the far back rod? Perhaps an inverse parallel guide that allows quick adjustment with a wooden screw? Hope it is against the wall or else it would likely pose an appendage hazard…

I have seen lots of benches for righties that plane into the screws, so I don’t think that is evidence enough to say it is “surely” anything.
And lefthanded benches are as rare in the wild as left-handed plows. Most lefties just made do, historically.

Lefties still make do in a righty world. When you begin to learn a skill, you’ve got a slight advantage to your dominant side. Us lefties just shrug our shoulders and get to learning the skill.
