Ron is originally from Alabama, but he now lives in Ohio and works for Procter & Gamble. His tool chest reflects “Proctoid” sensibilities – they are notoriously precise people – plus his Alabama heritage. It’s a bit like a BMW 740 painted like the General Lee.
Which is all kinds of awesome.
This short video has a tour of Ron’s chest during a class at the Marc Adams School of Woodworking. And it involves (as always) nipple rubbing.

Please for the love of all that is holy. Do not google image “General Lee BMW” It can not be unseen
I can’t decide which I like better, the general-lee-themed racing riding lawn mower or citroën 2cv.
Even better is the “General Lee Bentley Continental Flying Spur”
As a Mississippian, I am proud to say that we are number 1 in tasty food and muggy heat. Perhaps that is why we are also number 1 in girth. 🙂
Darn, I knew I couldn’t be the only one to think of adding an “extra” removable till for travel…
Ever since Chris said in class that he puts clothes there for travel, I’ve been wanting to build that as well. Somebody beat us to it.
With any luck, paint goes on the ATC tonight.
Chuck – It didn’t happen if there aren’t pictures. After the paint is on, show us your stuff.
Too late Wes!
Excellent tool chest Ron, I like it.

Ron –
Your chest looks very nice. Did you say you have dowels in the floor of your tool chest to prevent the planes from colliding?

Yes, I just lay them flat on the bottom, and use them as needed for emergencies. Nothing fancy
Great job Ron! Now I too will be adding the additional traveling till.

Enquiring minds want to know: What’s on the display rack behind Ron that says “From Summer 2011”?
Those are joint samples from Marc Adams’s joinery class.
Ron, Great looking chest!
Thank you. The older stuff generally looks good, except for men:-)
