Just a reminder that Lost Art Press will be at the Lie-Nielsen Hand Tool Event next week at Popular Woodworking Magazine in Cincinnati. Details are on the Lie-Nielsen web site here.
We will be there with a few tool chests for you to inspect and (I hope) the Campaign Secretary I’ve been working on – it needs to go to the magazine for a photo shoot.
Also, I’ve decided to bring a load of my personal tools to sell. I still have many tools to dispose of. I was selling them here on the blog, but I got some nasty notes from readers about it, so I stopped. I have a little bit of everything, from infill planes, saws, gauges on down to marking knives. And whatever I don’t sell at the show next weekend I’ll post here with one final tool sale post.
Please, please, please (and I don’t use italics lightly) don’t e-mail me beforehand about these tools asking for an inventory or if I have this or that or if I’ll sell something to you in advance. I honestly don’t know everything that I have. I’m just going to bring it and sell it. Thanks for your understanding in this matter.
Hope you can come to the show. It is a fun two days.

Why on earth would somebody object, especially enough to write a nasty note, to you selling tools like those on this blog? Things are getting weird in this world.
To say the least!
Ditto on the above comment. Really?? Good grief.
Some people need to lay off the Kool-Aid
Some people just have to complain about everything.
I hate that about people.
Grumble, grumble, grumble.
But Chris…
We and I are extra tight. (aka I’m special) go ahead and email me the list of all the tools for sale at jackasswoodworker@gmail.com along with eight to ten detailed photos of each. Don’t forget a detailed description. Make sure to include detailed notes on how to use each. If it has a blade make sure to include sharpening instructions with photos and a drawing(s) of any jig(s) used in the process. Better yet, go ahead and hone each blade to perfection. While your at it could you stop by my place with all of them so I can have a quick firsthand look? And/or I could stop by your place for a hands on demonstration. Your not that busy are you? You only run a publishing company, raise a family, answer a million email a day, teach, write, photograph and document each and every project in detail, write two blogs (that I know of) I’m sure that only ads up to a part time schedule. So what time should I stop by?

PS could you pick me up at the airport?
LMAO!
Ah, OK, that makes perfect sense. I worked for a decade as a photojournalist, and remember with a mix of laughter and dread the folks who used to come up while I was working and want to know what kind of film or camera I was using so that they could make photos like I did.
