We may call you Chris but his name is Robert Paulson. This piece was hand made so unlike us it is a unique and beautiful snowflake. As woodworkers we will never be complete. I say stop being perfect, I say lets evolve, let the (wood) chips fall where they may

Let me say first of all that I am new to woodworking and was skeptical of the entire “Anarchist’s Too Chest” approach. I like power tools and my initial reaction to the book was that of an art house film. Trying to be more than what it really is. I have been following your post for the past few weeks and though I have not read you book yet I was beginning to change my mind. This post sealed the deal, Fight Club is my favorite movie and shortly after seeing it the book of the same title made my short list of favorite books. Currently I can’t justify spending the money on your book, I’m 26 and my wife and I are having our first child. It’s on my Christmas list, but the title will need explaining. Thank you for the post and broadening my horizons. Best wishes

You can spend a little less, and get the eBook version if you have a compatible device. The title is a bit off putting, but it’s worth a read. It’s a good chronicle of one mans decision to to focus his woodworking. It’s not gospel, but rather a tale of inspiration.

No but
i’m sure it would make you cackle.

Money is tight for many people (including me!). I am very tempted now by the digital download version, just have to figure out if my phone will take e-pub files.

Other than my desk top I have nothing, hoping to get a kindle (or like device) for Christmas as well. I have a long Christmas list, with a myriad of tools on it. I will get the book- I would like the tangible copy, still stuck on books I can feel, but i see the advantage of e-readers.

I read on my android phone every day. The free app “Cool Reader” will handle just abour every ebook format, including epub.

Turning square things into round on my lathe does not make me a turner, either.

Exactly.

Turning round things (trees) into square things is the idea. I’m guessing the single malts were flowing freely in Kentucky last night. The last chicken I saw crossing the road had curly maple shavings hanging from the deuce caboose….what does that mean?

Christopher Martin Schwarz – are you getting enough sleep?

haha- he thinks he’s sleeping but in reality he’s been traveling around the country starting anarchistic basement woodworking cells and blowing up ikeas and home depots.

Niels, you are meddling with forces beyond your comprehension.

When you see them coming, it’s too late.
You and your fowl language…
Hey James!
Welcome back. Looks like your show went well.
