We’ve received our print run of Robert Wearing’s “The Essential Woodworker” and have started shipping out orders to customers on a first-in, first-out basis. At the current pace, we should have all the pre-orders in the mail sometime in the coming five days.
I just received my personal copies this morning, and I am pleased with the more expensive paper and the printing quality overall. And we hope you will be, too.
This book has been, hands down, the most successful book in the short history of our little publishing company. And for that, I’d like to thank each of you. We ordered a fair number of copies of this book, but because of the strong orders, we probably will run out before the end of the year.
And now I can move onto Lost Art Press’s next projects, which include the Andre Roubo translation project and two other books in the works that we aren’t quite ready to announce.

I. Can’t. Wait.
This is going to be great, you all always have great things going on.
Hope the vacation is treating you well,
Will this be sold through Lee Valley? I’ve got one ten minutes away, which makes it much more attractive than paying for cross-border shipping.
Yes.
I am pleased to announce that "The Essential Woodworker" will be sold by Lee Valley Tools, Lie-Nielsen Toolworks and Tools for Working Wood.
So if you would like to purchase it through those sellers, they will have it shortly.
Chris
Thanks for the update. I was looking for a copy at amazon, ABE, and bookfinder (for a vintage printing) and it was over $80.00. This appears to be better quality bookbinding and paper. I also can’t wait to read the A.J. Roubo book (English translation). I have french copies but this way my english only friends might be able to learn a thing or two too. Thanks from a sitka spruce forest near Florence, Oregon.
Eagerly awaiting my copy…. will you guys send an email to let us know when our copies ship ? I travel a good bit and would hate for it to sit on my front porch for a day or two and get wet from a afternoon rain shower…..thanks.
Received my copy yesterday and have read 1/3 of it thus far. How I wish I had this book 12 years ago when I started my woodworking adventure. Thanks so much for this wonderful book.
My copy arrived this afternoon and it’s as good as I expected.

Got mine yesterday and thoroughly enjoying it so far.

Just recteved my copy of Essential Woodworker. It all I expected and I am happy with it. However it suffered in shipping, The box was crushed and one corner was dog-ear. I am sure It was perfect packed, It is not bad enough to return, but a little more secure wrapping would help.
Still waiting for my copy, cant wait for it to arrive:)
