I used to be one of those kids that asked my teachers “are we ever going to need to know this stuff in the real world.” The History of Wood has finally gotten to a point where know for sure that I’m going to need this stuff in the real world. I offer my un-ironic salute and a sincere “what took you so long.”

‘The History of Wood’ is funny! Part # 942 is probably my favorite so far. Look what the future holds! Woodworkers take over the world! Yes! (‘Pinky and the Brain’ cartoon dialog is floating through my mind right now… Pinky: “What are we going to do tonight?” Brain: “The same thing we do every night, Pinky. Try to take over the world!”). I can’t wait to read the parts in between #22 and #942.

Yess! a double episode with the promise of a very long running show. Secretly I was worried that we are already up to the middle ages with only a few hundred years left to cover. But knowing that we will also cover the future (A bit like this guy in his wooden box traveling through time) -that made my day.
Looking forward to look back and find out how CNC machines stood the test of time 😉
