Dear god, is there much more of this?
C’mon, give us a break….

I don’t want to inject any disappointment into your day, but given the references to the “middle ages”, and this is just a guess, but I’d say we have at least 1000 years of history to go.

Hey bgall3. I just had a look at your blog…

I think this stuff is funny. And I look forward to sitting on my “The History of Wood” toilet set cover while looking at Roubo posters.

I’m hoping for a run of posters. Too bad the font changed though. Maybe I can use the change as a design element and get creative when I hang them. I hope they are giant size.

Again, since when did hand-lettering become a “font”? I suppose later we can discuss camber in plane irons to refine our “toolpaths”.
Look more closely. Both the old and the new use a typeface designed to look like handwriting, and the text is horizontally stretched to fill the lines evenly, but it isn’t handwriting.

If that’s true, I’m disgusted! I’m never reading the History of Wood ever again!

It’s only the Middle Ages. There’s still at least 600-700 yrs of History left!!!! After that does it become “The Future of Wood”?

Right now we are editing part 31 of “The History of Wood.” Every complaint seems to generate 10 more installments.

I was wondering if there was a direct correlation. I’m happy to have been correct.

It’s not that I wrote more when people complain. It’s that no one should be allowed to think differently than me! If I like something everyone should like it. I’m planning a trip to the grocery store today to yell at them (again.) They sell Okra. I hate Okra. They should stop selling it. They sell fresh and canned and pickled. Orka sucks! People against Orka Untie! (I’m a little dyslexic. Did I ever mention that?)

In that case, I better start complaining.

I guess I should have said typeface. For anyone else interested, here’s a nice article on the difference.

It’s neither – it’s handwriting!
