Crucible Lump Hammers in Stock

We have a sizable load of Crucible lump hammers in stock and ready to deliver. They are $85 plus shipping. These hammers tend to sell quickly, so if you want one, don’t wait too long.

We also have a big batch of Crucible American-made T-shirts in stock at a special price – $17. That’s basically our cost to buy the shirt and print them here in Kentucky.

If I were to purchase a shirt could I have it shipped to the Storefront for when I’m taking the Dutch Tool Chest class in February, since international shipping makes it a cost prohibitive?

  2. matt says:

Nice price on the t-shirts. Too bad shipping (one shirt) to Canada is $130.77.

Sorry. I know you guys have tried many things for international shipping. Didn’t want to rub it in, but then couldn’t help myself. 🙂

  3. Claus says:

Hammers sold out in less than 4 hours. I missed it again.

Same here! I think the next time I’m in Covington I’ll try to buy a used one!

  6. Barry MacDonald says:

How can I be sure it’s genuine hickory if it doesnt have “Genuine Hickory” branded on the handle?

  7. Lawrence Lancaster says:

Open 190129 email on 190129 AM saying hammers available. Immediately try to order – “Sold out”

  8. Matthew Cohn says:

Just out of curiosity, how many are generally made in a batch? It’s a testament to the quality of the tools you guys make that they are still selling out at such a brisk pace. (Writing as someone who is kicking himself for missing them…yet again.)

  9. ldlancaster says:

    make a large batch

A very nice problem you have with these hammers.

You guys already know this, but just in case:

Alro will sell you 4″ lengths of 1.5″ SQ 4140 in various heat-treated states in any quantity you like (50, 250, 1000+) for very reasonable prices (< $9) and delivers to Kentucky in a few days.

The key bit is that they cut it for you, and fairly accurately, which might save you a step. I know cutting 4140 on my less-than-great saw is tedious.

Have you any plans to make the hammers available to your overseas fans?

    • When we have production stabilized we will offer them to the wholesale suppliers outside the U.S. that carry Lost Art Press books. No guarantee they will carry them, however, as it’s their decision.
